Azealia Banks says she’s doing just “fine” after making some cryptic posts over the weekend.
Initial concern about the 29-year-old rapper’s mental health stemmed from a series of Instagram Stories that she posted on Saturday.
“Yea, I think I’m done here,” Banks wrote. “This pandemic, extreme lack of social interaction, no intimacy, combined with constant public ridicule is making life harder than its worth. I think I will end my tenure here on earth soon.”
In another she wrote, “My soul is tired. I’m ready to go.”
The New York-native also posted a story of herself speaking, in which she said she’d rather die than be mocked or have her ideas stolen.
The nature of the posts had many worried that Banks was suicidal, however, on Sunday, she posted a selfie with the caption, “I’m fine, better than I was before.”
She followed up the post with two videos. In the first, she questioned why all of a sudden people seemed to care about her now but when she drops new music she doesn’t get the same attention. She captioned the video, “What is this obsession u b****** have with my despair?”
In a second video, she told people to show love not only when she’s down and in despair but when she’s doing good, as well.
“Show me love when I’m up… not just when I’m down,” she captioned the clip.
