EuroBasket 2025 scores, schedule: Luka Dončić, Slovenia knocked out by Germany, final four set
Written by CBS SPORTS ALL RIGHTS RESERVED on September 11, 2025

EuroBasket 2025 is down to the final four. Germany, Finland, Greece and Türkiye are the last teams standing in the competition, and a new champion will be crowned on Sunday. The tournament has featured plenty of NBA talent. Big stars remain as the final four are led by the Magic’s Franz Wagner (Germany), the Jazz’s Lauri Markkanen (Finland), the Bucks’ Giannis Antetokounmpo (Greece) and the Rockets’ Alperen Sengun (Türkiye).
Two of the biggest stars of the tournament, however, have both been eliminated in the knockout stage. Nikola Jokić and Serbia, who were the pre-tournament favorites, were upset by Markkanen and Finland in the Round of 16. Luka Dončić led Slovenia to the quarterfinals, but Germany used a strong fourth quarter to advance and send the Lakers star packing.
The knockout stage is being held in Riga, Latvia. The Round of 16 tipped off Saturday.
With the tournament winding down, here’s everything you need to know:
Format
The tournament began with a group stage, with four groups consisting of six teams each. The group stage, which wrapped up on Sept. 4, was round-robin style play, in which each team played others in their respective group once. The top four teams in each group advanced to the knockout phase.
