Kodak Black has launched his own currency. His artist coin $YAK, made in partnership with music discovery platform Audius, will give fans the opportunity to hear some unreleased music, early access to shows, limited-edition merch, behind-the-scenes content and other special experiences.

“I made $YAK so my fans get first dibs on everything I do,” Kodak says in a statement posted on the Audius website. “Hold it and you hear music before it drops. You get tickets before the crowd even sees them. You unlock content that never hits the public feed. This coin is the line between the crowd and the ones I keep close. If you want to stay closer, you already know.”

“From Pompano to packed arenas, I learned the wins hit different when we share them,” he continues. “Music created our community. Now let’s create something even bigger together.”

News of Kodak’s artist coin arrives on the heels of Kodak Day, which took place Tuesday in his hometown of Pompano Beach, Florida. He celebrated with a community fun day for the kids complete with food, free groceries, games, gift cards and more.
