Axelle/Bauer-Griffin/FilmMagicLeBron James is wearing #6 again, but in a new color.
Late Monday evening, the Lakers superstar teased fans with a sneak peek of the upcoming movie Space Jam: A New Legacy.
The short clip, shared on James’ Family Foundation Twitter and Instagram, finds James in a new Tune Squad jersey, boasting his number from his successful Miami Heat era.
Despite its bright colors, the shirt resembles the original jerseys worn by Michael Jordan, Bugs Bunny and more in the beloved 1996 Space Jam classic original that features everyone’s favorite Looney Tunes characters.
As previously reported, the long-awaited sequel will also star Don Cheadle and Sonequa Martin-Green.
This moment is full circle for LeBron, who’s grown to have the same cultural impact as Jordan, even surpassing several NBA records Jordan previously held. And also just like Jordan, LeBron is crafting his own legacy by setting new records and inspiring the younger generation with various business endeavors.
Space Jam: A New Legacy is expected to arrive on July 21, 2021.
