TeaMarrAfter releasing an impressive EP, R&B singer TeaMarrr returns to speak on racial injustice and police brutality with her new single, “Colors.”

“I’m just a color, I’m just a color/ Karen let me be great,” she sings on the passionate track, which features a hip hop twist.

Rapper Wale dropped a socially-conscious verse on the track reflecting on recent events in relation to police brutality. But the DC emcee is no stranger to speaking on such topics — he did so with the powerful video for his 2019 single “Sue Me” and his June EP, The Imperfect Storm.

In May, TeaMarrr dropped her debut EP Before I Spill Myself featuring D Smoke and Rhapsody. She’s also the first artist signed to Issa Rae‘s Raedio record label, as part of the actress’ partnership with Atlantic Records.
