Monday NFL best bets
- Game: Kansas City Chiefs vs. Washington Commanders (8:15 p.m. ET)
- The Pick: Commanders +11.5 (-112)
“The Commanders will be without Jayden Daniels and their best pass rusher, but this number seems overadjusted to me,” CBS Sports’ managing editor of Fantasy and gambling R.J. White said. “The Chiefs were laying the same amount of points against the Raiders last week, and a Commanders team likely to be healthier at WR with Terry McLaurin and Deebo Samuel trending toward returning is in a much better spot than Vegas was last week. Marcus Mariota is a fine fill-in, and the Commanders have averaged about 33 points in the four games he’s seen significant playing time the last two years. The Chiefs are my top rated team and I still can’t get this spread projection past 10.”

World Series Game 3 best bets
- Game: Los Angeles Dodgers vs. Toronto Blue Jays, World Series, Game 3 (8 p.m. ET)
- The Pick: Dodgers -1.5 runs (+100)
“The Dodgers came back in Game 2 with a typical Dodgers 5-1 win to even things up,” former Vegas bookmaker Micah Roberts said. “Game 2 looked like an extension of the NLCS against the Brewers, when the Dodgers pitching allowed one run in each game. The Dodgers starting pitching has set the tone in these playoffs, and they’ve gone under six of their last seven games. They’ve got another ace-type starter going in Game 3 with Tyler Glasnow, who hasn’t lost since August, as the Dodgers have won seven straight games behind him, including the last three games that he’s only allowed one run combined. He’s getting better as the games become more crucial. Max Scherzer goes for Toronto, and he lost 5-1 to the Dodgers in August. Dodgers to win.”

Monday NBA best bets
- Game: Dallas Mavericks vs. Oklahoma City Thunder (8:30 p.m. ET)
- The Pick: Mavericks +8.5 (-110)
Oklahoma City is wrapping up a three-game road trip on Monday night, while Dallas is coming off its first win of the season on Sunday. No. 1 overall draft pick Cooper Flagg became the fifth-youngest player in league history to score at least 20 points when he had 22 points, four rebounds, four assists and zero turnovers against the Raptors. Dallas was one of the few teams to have success against Oklahoma City last season, winning three of the four meetings. SportsLine’s model projects that success to continue Monday, as the Mavericks are covering the spread in 57% of simulations.
