After Tyga was arrested Tuesday on charges of alleged domestic violence, his publicist is proclaiming his innocence.

As previously reported, the 31-year-old MC, whose real name is Michael Stevenson, turned himself in to the Los Angeles Police Department’s Hollywood precinct Tuesday morning. He was booked for felony domestic violence, and was released after posting a $50,000 bond.

“The allegations you have been reading about our client the past few days are false,” claims Stevenson’s rep Jack Ketsoyan in a statement to USA Today. He added that the allegations “will be disproven.”

Stevenson’s arrest on Tuesday came one day after his ex-girlfriend Camaryn Swanson shared photos of alleged abuse to her Instagram Story. She wrote that she was “physically assaulted.”

“I’ve been emotionally, mentally and physically abused and I’m not hiding it anymore,” Swanson commented alongside a photo of herself with a bruised eye. In another photo, she added, “I’m so embarrassed and ashamed it had to get to this but I have to stand up for myself.”

On Wednesday, Swanson explained she only went public with her allegations after “someone” spread a “false narrative” that “painted me to be somebody I’m not.”

“My intentions were never to go public with this,” she wrote on her Instagram Story.  “I took matters into my own hands and posted the TRUTH with proof.”

Stevenson and Swanson went public with their relationship in February. Tyga previously dated Kylie Jenner, and shares 8-year-old son King Cairo with Blac Chyna.
